Overview
These terms govern the consulting services provided by atelier. ("we", "us", "our"). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
Services
We provide custom systems, automation, dashboards, and data analysis for businesses. The initial brainstorm/diagnostic session is free and carries no obligation.
Confidentiality
All engagement details, business data, and communications are treated as confidential by default. This obligation survives the end of the engagement indefinitely. We are happy to work under formal NDAs when requested.
We do not publish client names, case study attributions, or quotations that identify a specific client without prior written consent. Our case studies and testimonials are anonymized by convention.
Data Handling
Wherever possible, client data remains on systems the client already owns and controls (your Google Workspace, Microsoft tenant, cloud account, or on-premise environment). Where we must host or process data during a build, it sits in an isolated working environment that is deleted at handoff or at the client's written request, whichever comes first.
We do not aggregate client data across engagements, do not use client data to train machine-learning models, and do not sell, license, or otherwise transfer client data to any third party. Third-party services used during an engagement are limited to the platforms the client has already selected, and any AI APIs used operate under their standard enterprise or zero-retention terms wherever offered.
On request, we will provide a written summary of the specific tools, sub-processors, and storage locations involved in a given engagement before work begins.
Deliverables & Ownership
Upon full payment, you own all deliverables produced during the engagement: code, spreadsheets, models, documentation, and the credentials required to run and modify them. We retain the right to use general methodologies and techniques (but never your specific data, your business information, or any identifying details) in future work.
Engagement Scope
Each engagement is governed by a written proposal that defines scope, deliverables, fixed price, and end date. Work outside that scope is either declined or separately quoted. We do not take retainers, bill hourly, or charge for "discovery phases." The initial diagnostic call carries no obligation and no charge.
We reserve the right to decline or withdraw from an engagement if the work falls outside our practice, if we assess the right solution to be different from what was requested, or if continued work would create an unmanageable conflict. In such cases we return any unearned fees and, where useful, refer the client to a more appropriate provider.
Payment
All projects are quoted with fixed pricing upfront. Invoices are due within 14 days of receipt (net-14). No hourly billing.
Revisions
A 14-day revision window begins upon delivery. During this period, we will address any issues or adjustments within the original scope at no additional cost.
Limitation of Liability
Our total liability is capped at the fees paid for the specific engagement. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.
Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement with 7 days' written notice. Payment is due for work completed through the termination date.
